Tour Description
Two of the most visited sites in New York City are the Statue of Liberty and Ground Zero, the site of the former World Trade Center Twin Towers. However most visitors are unaware that only a limited few are allowed inside the Statue of Liberty - reservations are necessary and difficult to obtain. This exclusive NYCVP walking and sightseeing tour not only gets you inside Lady Liberty, but it also provides an in-depth visit to the scene of tragedy and heroism at Ground Zero where you can view the former site of the World Trade Center. The Statue of Liberty is more than a monument - she is a beloved friend, and a living symbol of freedom to the world. Ellis Island is the historic gateway to America, where millions of immigrants passed through between 1892 and 1955. No trip to New York City is complete without visiting the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum. The absolute easiest way for you to visit Lady Liberty, the most popular tourist attraction in New York, is on this escorted and guided tour departing from a convenient midtown Manhattan location.
This educational tour is hosted and escorted by an experienced, licensed New York City tour guide who will negotiate you through the masses, turmoil and confusion. Our guide will escort you on the subway. You'll have special reserved priority access to enter the Liberty Island Ferry security and a reserved Monument Access Pass granting guaranteed entry inside the Statue of Liberty - the only way that you can actually get inside the Statue.
| Important note regarding access to the observation deck: Elevators are currently out of order and the Park Rangers have said they would be out indefinitely as there was no money in the park's budget to repair them. For those unable to walk or who's mobility is impaired please inform NYCVP prior to your tour. |
The price includes ferry and subway fares, special Monument Access Pass, advance reserved security entry time, and the services of an officially licensed New York City tour guide.

"The tour was superior. Tony shared a lot of interesting information with us and shepherded us around with the patience of a saint and skill of a world explorer. I came away knowing a lot more about Ground Zero--what it was and what it will be. That was a therapeutic experience. The visit to the Statue of Liberty also surpassed expectations: interesting history and promise of hope for the future. Terrific tour at a bargain price. Thank you Tony!"

"We just recently returned from our trip to New York. We took the tour to Ground Zero, Ellis Island and Liberty Island. Marc Landman was our guide and we were very impressed with his knowledge about all three of the sites and New York in general. He even gave us tips on the subway. It was a pleasure to be in his tour group. We thoroughly recommend this company and recommend Marc for an informative and enjoyable tour."

"Our tour guide Georgienne made our trip to NYC fantastic! She gave us the best tour of Ground Zero and The Statue Of Liberty. She had so much interesting information about both sites, it was truly an amazing experience. I couldn't imagine having done these two destinations on our own, as we would have missed all the fascinating facts she provided about NYC, its history and famous people. She made our trip special.
We will be booking again with your company and requesting Georgienne, it was beyond our expectation. Thank you!"

"We have just returned to Houston, Texas from a wonderful vacation to New York City and Niagara Falls and wanted to tell you how excited and happy we were to have met Chris Lucas as our tour guide for the Statue of Liberty tour.
He was a great guide, informative and happy to be with us, with lots of information about the city and the areas we were seeing as we ventured from our pick up point to the Statue of Liberty. We were really pleasantly surprised to make several stops on the way that we did not expect and learned lots about the Wall Street area.
Again, thank you for the service you provide to making your city more friendly to visitors."

"Chris gave us such an amazing tour of lower Manhattan yesterday [4/8/09]. I'm a New Yorker and he taught me many things I didn't know. We had so much fun with the other family that we spent the whole day with them. This was a really great experience and I would [definitely] use this service again. Thanks so much for a great day."

"Celia, I have to tell you just how much we all enjoyed our holiday in New York City. IT WAS TOTALLY MAGICAL!! I really don't have the words to tell you just how much fun we actually had. The guide, Georgina, for the Ground Zero and Statue of Liberty was so informative for all the little things we didn't know or have forgotten about. We all give her a 10... All and all we had a terrific time and we owe that all to YOU! THANK YOU for everything that you did! We hope to return to NYC again and you will be the first one that we call.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Best Wishes,"

"Dear Michelle
I just got home from my NY vacation and tour with Georgian was totally awesome. This woman knew her facts and was so friendly and personal. Seeing ground zero and the statue of liberty was kind of a let down, but our tour guide made it one of the most informative and moving trips we experienced. I just wanted to let someone know she is doing an excellent job. I am not sure where to send this mail but if you could forward it to the right person I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you."

"The tour of Ground Zero, Statute of Liberty and Ellis Island was very surreal for me, and maybe my favorite part. We ended up taking over 6 hours doing that. The Empire State building and Rockefeller Center were also amazing. I had seen most of this stuff when I was 11 years (over 39 years ago), but all much more impressive as an adult."

"Hi there,
I was fortunate enough to have taken a guided tour back on 9/8 with your company in New York. Georganne was our guide and we were exceptionally pleased with her attention to detail, knowledge, zest and sense of humor. She really helped to make our first trip to your fantastic city memorable. I have always felt that the quality of ones employees speaks volumes to the character of a company. You obviously are a high quality company based on georganne.
I will definitely recommend your company to friends and family.
Thanks for a fantastic experience!"

"Hi, I would like to tell you that we enjoyed our tour of Ground Zero and the Statue of Liberty on Wednesday July 30 with Georgiene (sorry for the spelling). She was very informative. She drew a map for us so that we could find other places we wanted to go after the tour. I wish she could have walked around the whole city with us just giving us information about everything. Thanks,"
LW

"My family and I have just returned from a 5 day break in New York. During our time there we took one of your vacation packages and I would like to give you feedback on our experience. We had signed up for the Ground Zero and Statue of Liberty tour before we left the UK as it had been recommended to us.
We met up with our guide Georgine at 7.45am last Wednesday, 28th May 2008.
Georgine was friendly and very chatty. She gave us some background information before we set off so that we would know what to expect. She explained all about the subway and put our minds at rest about using it. Her orange cap made it easy to follow her even when there were lots of people around.
She had so much knowledge about the city of New York, its people and in particular the Ground Zero area and Liberty Island. She obviously wanted to share all this with us and we were all very impressed with both her and the tour itself.
The background information could not have been found in any guide book and we all felt that she cared deeply for the area and the local people. We could never have found our way around the area by ourselves as she showed us so much, including pointing out some small points as well as the main things and suggesting places for taking photographs etc.
Georgine really made this tour special; she puts her whole self into the tour and obviously takes great delight in sharing her knowledge with others.
I would like to thank Georgine again for a great day and a great experience as it is something that we will never forget. We will be recommending others to take this tour; I just hope that they get Georgine as their tour guide!
Many thanks for your time"

"My family and I went on a trip to Ground Zero and The Statue of Liberty (Sunday 14th October) while recently in New York. Our tour guide was Georgina, and I would like to praise her knowledge and enthusiasm the whole time, making the tour so interesting. When she left us at the statue she made sure the whole group were completely happy with their return options. As we were walking to China Town and Grenwich Village Georgina helped us plan our day, showing us on our map which way to go and what to see, and made sure we knew the correct undergroud station to use and where to get off to safely return to our hotel. I am planning to visit New York again next year and will not hesitate to use your company again if we decide to take an excursion. many thanks"

"Hello, I took a tour of Liberty & Ellis Island on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 and Chris Lucas was my groups tour guide. Throughout the entire tour I kept thinking that Chris had done these tours for years since he was soooooo knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining. To my surprise when we asked how long he had been doing these tours he said it was his first day! He was non-less short of spectacular. I have gone on many tours, but he was undoubtedly the best tour guide I have had the pleasure to be in company with. Please give him my many thanks for a great time!"
