|The National 9/11
Memorial Museum is located on the exact site of the former World Trade Center
Twin Towers. The Museum is dedicated to the memory of the almost 3,000 victims
of the tragedies of the 1993 and 2001 attacks in New York City, Shanksville PA,
and the Pentagon, as well as the heroes who dedicated their days and nights to
the rescue and recovery efforts.
The immensity and the impact of the
artifacts, the historical perspective and intimate details of the horrible
events tell the story of the day and the lives both loved and lost on September
11, 2001. Your visit to the Museum will undoubtedly be an emotional experience.
The design leads visitors down a long, 7-story ramp to true ground zero,
symbolically inspired by the access road used by rescue and recovery workers.
Galleries throughout include voice recordings of last phone calls; photographs
of first responders heroically entering the buildings, never to return; prayer
cards and hand-written pleas.
New York City Vacation Packages will pre-reserve your admission date and time
for your visit to the National 9/11 Memorial Museum. We suggest you allow at
least 2 hours to complete your visit. The National 911 Museum has posted
visiting hours beginning at 9am daily, with the last visit available at 7pm.
