Why is our New York City Holiday Lights Tour so popular?
New York City starts to take on a special glow, and all of the stores and squares try to outdo each other with the most dazzling displays.
Everyone wants to see all the new attractions, trees and lights in New York, but covering the four square miles or so that they encompass in one night and on foot can take a while, not to mention the crowds and weather.
On this guided and narrated tour, you'll hear stories about the rich history, tradition and pageantry of some of the finest New York holiday displays, as well as the multicultural festive flavor and atmosphere that fills the City from Thanksgiving to Three King's Day.
The tour takes place in a climate controlled luxury motor coach, with frequent stops to get out and view the displays up close. Along the way, you will see sights like*:
- Central Park's Holiday Markets
- The multicolored snowflakes of Columbus Circle
- The tree at Lincoln Center
- The World's Largest Snowflake
- Park Avenue's "Boulevard of Lights" (bus cannot drive on Park Avenue)
- The Waldorf Astoria
- Madison Avenue's displays
- The world's largest Menorah
- The Plaza Hotel
- FAO Schwarz
- 5th Avenue displays
- Rockefeller Center
- Times Square ...
Plus, the window displays of:
- Saks 5th Avenue
- Bergdorf Goodman
- Lord & Taylor
- And, of course, Macy's ... plus so much more.

"Tonight my friend and I went on the Christmas Bus Tour. The tour guide was Chris Lucas and the driver was Rodney. The tour was great and even better than advertised. Chris was excellent with a great deal of knowledge about NYC. He is also a great ambassador for the city. He made the three hours fly by and gave us all the time we needed at the various stops to take in the Christmas atmosphere. So far the best spent $$$ on our trip. Thanks for offering this tour."

"I went on your holiday lights tour on December 4th and just want to say that Chris Lucas was a great tour guide and our bus driver, Spears, was great also. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends." SG
"I would just like to say what a great time we had on the holiday lights tour, our guide Chris was really great he gave us so much information we learned so much.
We saw so much and the stops he made were great, we saw the beautiful windows of Lord and Taylor and Macys up close as we were able to get off the bus and take some great photos, we had plenty of time to see the Tree at Rockefeller Plaza, it was just great and a big thanks also to our driver Spears who coped well with the busy traffic. I would really recommend this trip to anyone visiting NYC at Christmas time. Thanks again"

"On Saturday, December 4, 2010, my friend, LB, and I had taken the New York City Holiday Lights Motorcoach Sightseeing Tour (left from Sheraton NY Hotel at 6:30 p.m.). Our tour guide, Chris Lucas, was amazingly terrific. He is extremely knowlegable of the history of New York City and is very entertaining. He allowed us plenty of time to see the sights when we made our stops. He made our tour another great holiday memory. I have to also mention our bus driver, Spears, was very good. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends and family. Sincerely," KE
"Hi, We just returned from a long Thanksgiving weekend in NYC. During our visit, we took the evening light tour with Chris Lucas as our guide. It was one of the best tours we took. He is so knowledgeable, personable, and approachable. The information we learned for the most part was new - making us feel like insiders, not tourists. Thanks for a great time." 2 Folks from Wyoming
"My two daughters and I were so happy we took the Holiday Lights tour with Chris Lucas. He is such a character. What fun we had! Loved his different hats, funny stories and interesting history he gave us. There were only 20 of us on the bus, which made it more personal and fun. We would have never seen all the city holiday lights he showed us by ourselves. We loved Grand Central Station and the light show and of course the whispering wall. Chris is great! We loved the tour!"
"I recently went on the city lights tour led by Chris Lucas. I have nothing but good things to say about this tour. The locations were perfect and Chris gave awesome details and wore hilarious hats!!! I especially enjoyed the stop at Tavern on the Green! Honestly, I would absolutely encourage my friends to take this tour..and Chris deserves a real shout out for doing a great job! Thanks," MP, Vancouver, BC, Canada
"This is just a quick email to let you know that when we came to New York from British Columbia for our holiday this was one thing we booked online as a must see/must do event. The sad thing is the tree was not lit but Chris was an excellent tour guide including several other stops to make up for the lack of tree this year.
He was a very good tour guide making it a wonderful Christmas experience that I will highly recommend to those I know coming for the holidays.
I had a very positive experience, I found Chris very charismatic and funny making it feel like he was a friend showing you around his city, using little stories and history of the city to make you feel welcomed. A very special thank you to Chris and his company for making this a very Merry holiday trip! "
