2018 Tony Award Nominations & Winners
Since 1947, the Tony Awards have been recognizing achievement in live Broadway theatre. Traditionally, the Tony Awards are presented in New York the first week of June each year by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League.
 
There are 27 categories of Tony Awards that acknowledge excellence for plays and musicals at the annual ceremony.  A show must have appeared in a Broadway theater within the current year to be eligible for a nomination.
